Who we are

This website is run by Modus Marine (Pty) Ltd, a private company registered in South Africa (registration number 2026/817279/07), at 315 Main Rd, Sea Point, Western Cape, 8060, South Africa. You can reach us about anything on this page at [email protected].

What this website collects

Nothing by itself. There are no accounts, no cookies, no analytics, no tracking and no advertising on this website. The fonts and images are served from the website itself, so loading a page does not send anything about you to another company.

When you write to us

The Request a demo and Contact forms do not send anything themselves: submitting one opens your own email app with a message to us, your details already written in, and nothing reaches us unless you send it. The same is true of the email links.

What you write arrives in our mailbox: your name, your email address, your phone number if you add it, and your message. We use it only to reply to you and, if you asked, to arrange a demo. We do not add you to a mailing list and we do not share it with anyone outside the providers named below.

We delete these emails 12 months after our last contact with you. If you go on to use the app, the app privacy policy covers what happens from then on.

The providers involved

• Cloudflare, Inc. hosts this website. Like any web host, it handles your IP address and the details of each page request to deliver the page and protect the site from attacks, and keeps them only briefly. We do not use them to identify you.
• Google LLC provides our mailbox (Google Workspace), where the emails you send us are stored.

Both may process data outside your country, including in the United States, under the safeguards their own terms provide, such as the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.

Why we may use it

We reply to the messages you send us because you asked us to, which is also a step towards an agreement if you decide to use the app. We host the website securely because we have a legitimate interest in running it safely.

Your rights

You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it or delete it, or object to how we use it, by writing to [email protected]. You can also complain to a data protection authority: in South Africa the Information Regulator, and in the European Union or the United Kingdom the authority where you live.

Children

This website is not aimed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect anything from them.

If what this website does changes, we update this page and the date below.
